Position Description
The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and Seattle Children's Hospital is seeking candidates for one full-time faculty position at the rank of Associate Professor without tenure by reason of funding in either the clinician-teacher or faculty-scientist pathway. Associate Professors are eligible for indefinite appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research/scholarship, and service.
The ambulatory psychiatry medical director will help supervise psychiatry fellows as the program increases to 8 fellows per class, will serve as the medical director for the OCD-IOP program, and provide direct patient care in additional to overall medical direction. This role can also help supervision and provide direct patient care with general psychiatry residents, due to the expected departure of a psychiatrist in January 2024 who has been a general psychiatry resident supervisor.

Salary
The base salary range for this position will be commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
Other compensation associated with this position may include a temporary salary supplement, administrative salary supplement (ADS) and/or incentive through Children's University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan.
The base salary range for an Associate Professor position will be $19,584 - $21,000 per month ($235,008 - $252,000 annually).

Qualifications
- An M.D. or D.O. or foreign equivalent, current medical licensure, and eligibility for a Washington State medical license.
- In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
