Position Description

The Division of Politics, Philosophy, and Public Affairs (PPPA) within the School of Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences (SIAS) at the University of Washington (UW) Tacoma projects the need for instruction in U.S. law and policy in the 2024 spring quarter and the 2024-2025 academic year. This includes the lower-division course Introduction to the American Legal System as well as upper-division courses in law and policy and constitutional law. We invite applications for Part-Time Lecturers Temporary from individuals with expertise and/or teaching experience in one or both of these areas. These are part-time positions with quarterly (3-month) service periods that begin on September 16, December 16, and/or March 16.

The base salary range for this position will be $5250 per quarter per 5-credit course commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Qualifications

This position requires either a JD or an ABD in political science, law and society, or a related field at the time of appointment.
