*Emeritus faculty are eligible to vote during quarters in which they are serving on a part-time basis, with the same voting rights as their title at the time of retirement.

Faculty Code Section 24-54	Procedure for Promotions 24-54 A: Establishes that the eligibility to deliberate and vote on a recommendation of promotion and/or tenure is limited to voting members of the faculty who are superior in academic rank/title to the candidate, subject to limitations described in Section 21-32, subsections C and D. 24-54 B: Establishes the eligibility, membership, and procedures for subcommittees that produce an initial report and/or recommendation for promotion and/or tenure. This section also delineates specific procedures to follow when there are 3 or more eligible voting faculty members or fewer than 3 eligible voting faculty members in the candidate’s department (or undepartmentalized college or school). (See also: Part 2: Recommendations and Candidate’s Opportunity for Response) 24-54 B: Establishes that if there are 3 or more eligible voting faculty members in the candidate’s department (or undepartmentalized college or school), voting (and being present for the vote) is limited to eligible voting faculty in the candidate’s department (or undepartmentalized college or school).
