The University of Washington (UW) is recruiting for 2 full-time or part-time (50% FTE or greater) Assistant Professors of Clinical Practice in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine, Department of Medicine. These positions are non-tenure eligible. Only full-time positions will be eligible for visa or permanent residence sponsorship. Salary and academic appointment at the University of Washington will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and academic rank. Patient care efforts will occur at the University of Washington Medical Center, Northwest Campus.
In addition to clinical work, teaching, scholarship, and service are integral to all Clinical Practice positions. These positions will include clinical bedside teaching of medical students, residents and fellows. The initial appointment period will be three years, at a minimum, with eligibility for renewal thereafter. Faculty on the clinical practice track hold multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1–June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July–June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. Clinical Practice track appointments are not eligible for tenure
The anticipated start date of this position is July 2025 or later.
University of Washington faculty engage in teaching research, and service.
Salary:
The base salary range for this position at the assistant professor rank will be: $30,000–$36,000 per month ($360,000–$432,000 annually) on a full-time basis and would be adjusted for actual FTE commitment, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Other compensation associated with these positions may include an administrative salary supplement (ADS). This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the [UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization.
Other compensation associated with this position may include administrative salary supplement, temporary pay supplement, etc.

Qualifications
Applicants must have a medical degree (MD/DO) or foreign equivalent. Applicants must be board certified or eligible (or foreign equivalent) in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Applicants must be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Washington.
In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
