Upcoming Workshop for Associate Professors: May 16th

We are excited to announce an informal workshop designed to help you consider your next steps in mid-career and embark upon new academic endeavors at the University of Washington. This workshop is specifically for Associate Professors who have been promoted or appointed at UW to the rank of Associate Professor from 2024-2025.

Date: May 16th
Time: 1:00 PM (via Zoom)
Duration: 60-90 minutes (depending on the number of questions)

The workshop will be led by Deepa Rao, Associate Vice Provost for Academic Personnel and Faculty Development and Professor of Global Health, and Chad Allen, Associate Vice Provost for Inclusive Excellence and Professor of English. They will offer guidance and tips on planning your time as Associate Professors and leave ample time for your questions on planning the next steps in your career.

Please note that the workshop will not be recorded, but we plan to hold these workshops annually. Additionally, another workshop for Associate Professors planning a move to full Professor will be held in June, so stay tuned for that announcement.

Registration:
Please register (NetID required) and enter any pre-event questions you may have in this form by May 12th.

We look forward to your participation and helping you navigate your academic journey!
