November 3 visa request tool update

Update as of November 4 at 2 AM PT: This work is complete!

Update as of November 3 at 8:30 PM PT: The database conversion for our ticketing tool is taking much longer than expected. This work is in progress; we now anticipate it will be completed Saturday morning.

On Friday, November 3rd from 5-10pm there will be a scheduled outage while OAP updates our visa request tool. During this time the visa request forms, including landing pages and drafts, will be inaccessible.

You may notice the following changes:

• On the H Visa Request Form:
  • New language will appear on the conditional approval regarding prevailing wage self-determinations.
• On the J Visa Request Form:
  • New help text will appear in Section 3: Appointment Information regarding Department of State limitations on remote work.
• When a submitted request form has errors, uploaded files will need to be re-uploaded. The tool that prevented this issue is no longer being maintained.
