Position Description

The University of Washington Division of Dermatology, in the Department of Medicine, is currently recruiting part-time or full-time Acting Instructors or Acting Assistant Professors for 12-month, annual appointments with a service period of July 1 - June 30. The anticipated start date would be summer or fall of 2023. Our Division is undergoing clinical expansion in preparation of becoming an independent Department of Dermatology in July 2023. Our Division includes 35 faculty members across 6 different clinical sites and over 30 staff members. This position has the potential to be full or part-time and will be based at one or more of the following University of Washington Dermatology clinical sites:

  • University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC) at Roosevelt Dermatology Clinic
  • UWMC Eastside Specialties Clinic (ESC) in Bellevue
  • Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA)
  • University of Washington Primary Care (UWPC)

University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service. The successful applicant will be expected to have primarily outpatient dermatology clinical responsibilities, and engage in teaching medical students and resident trainees.

Qualifications

Applicants must have an MD (or foreign equivalent) and Board Eligibility or Certification (or foreign equivalent) in Dermatology.  In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S,) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
