Position Description
The Fred Hutch Cancer Center (FHCC) and University of Washington (UW) Division of Hematology, Department of Medicine, are recruiting a full-time clinical faculty member (1.0 FTE) who focuses on myeloma for appointment at the Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor rank, commensurate with experience. Clinical faculty hold annual appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. It is expected that the faculty member would teach medical students, residents and fellows, and would help support clinical and translational research. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service. Position will remain open until filled. Anticipated start date will be August 1, 2022.
Qualifications
Applicants are required to have a M.D. (or foreign equivalent) and be board-eligible for oncology or hematology (or foreign equivalent).
In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
