The Division of Cardiology, Department of Medicine at the University of Washington, School of Medicine is recruiting for a full-time faculty member in the Section of Electrophysiology at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Full Professor level (without tenure due to funding), commensurate with qualifications. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in clinical activities focused in ventricular tachycardia ablation, lead extraction and/or adult congenital heart disease and support the department's commitment to patient care, scholarship and medical education. Education will primarily be of electrophysiology fellows and general cardiology fellows, with both didactic and bedside teaching as well as procedural teaching in the electrophysiology laboratory. Education of other learners and via other teaching approaches would be options.
University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service. This position will have an annual service period of 12 months [July 1-June 30]. The anticipated start date will be July 1, 2022.
Qualifications
Applicants must have an MD/DO degree (or foreign equivalent) and be board certified/eligible in electrophysiology. Successful candidates must have an academic track record with evidence of publications. In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-US) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
