Position Description
The University of Washington’s Department of Medicine, Division of General Internal Medicine, is seeking applicants for a full-time (0.8 to 1.0 FTE) faculty position to be based at the University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC) - Roosevelt General Internal Medicine Center (GIMC) and Women’s Health Care Center (WHCC), as well as the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA). This position will be at the Clinical Instructor, Clinical Assistant Professor, or Clinical Associate Professor level. Salary and academic appointment at University of Washington will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and academic rank. The University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service. This position would have an annual service period of 12 months [July 1-June 30] renewed annually. The anticipated start date would be July 1, 2022.
This position will involve serving as a primary care provider and breast health specialist at GIMC and WHCC, serving as a breast health specialist in the Breast Program at SCCA, and teaching and precepting residents and students, with optional inpatient attending of two to four weeks per year at UWMC.
Qualifications
Applicants must have an MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent) and board certification* in Internal Medicine (or foreign equivalent). In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S,) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
*Note: Board certification in Internal Medicine must be completed within two years after residency.
