Position Description
University of Washington Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology and Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA) are recruiting a full-time faculty member for an appointment at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor rank (without tenure due to funding), commensurate with experience. Clinical practice would be based at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance in Seattle, the combined practice site of the University of Washington, Fred Hutch Cancer Research Center and Seattle Children’s Hospital. The selected candidate would provide clinical care related to lymphoma and especially T-cell lymphoma. The candidate would also build a nationally prominent clinical research program in this area. Teaching activities for this position include mentoring, attending on clinical service, lectures/conferences, and supervising. This position will have an annual service period of 12 months [July 1-June 30]. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service. Position will remain open until filled. Anticipated start date is July 1, 2022.
Qualifications
The selected candidate must have an MD (or foreign equivalent). ABIM certification in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology (or foreign equivalent) is also required.
In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
