UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON

General CARDIOLOGY Position

The University of Washington, Division of Cardiology, Department of Medicine is recruiting one (1)  full-time general cardiologist to be primarily based at the University of Washington Medical Center- Northwest (UWMC-Northwest) in the clinical track at the Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor level, commensurate with experience. The UWMC-Northwest campus is a UW hospital that offers comprehensive cardiovascular services.  This is a 12-month, annual appointment (July 1-June 30 service period).  Successful candidates will have a strong commitment to patient care with interests in general, noninvasive cardiology.  Candidates with subspecialty interests in heart failure, echo and nuclear imaging are encouraged to apply.  Successful candidates will have a willingness to grow our highly regarded inpatient and outpatient practice. This position allows individuals to take advantage of the outstanding opportunities that exist for collaboration at the University of Washington, as well as opportunities to be involved in medical education. 

University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service.  These positions will remain open until filled.

Anticipated start date will be January 1, 2022.

Qualifications

Applicants must have an MD degree or foreign equivalent and be board certified/eligible in cardiovascular diseases, or foreign equivalent. In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-US) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
