Position Description

The University of Washington seeks outstanding applicants for the position of Senior Fellow in the Institute for Nuclear Theory (INT) and tenured faculty member in the Department of Physics at the University of Washington. Depending on seniority, appointments may be at either the Associate or Full Professor level. The INT is a national facility funded by the Office of Science of the U.S. Department of Energy. It provides an inclusive and diverse research environment where scientists can focus on the key frontiers of nuclear physics and related areas; see the INT https://www.int.washington.edu/about/about-int for more information. We seek applicants who are or have the potential to become leaders in their field with broad interests and accomplishments in theoretical nuclear physics and related areas.  All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service. This is a full-time 12-month position, anticipated to begin in Fall 2023.

 

Qualifications

Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in Physics, or foreign equivalent, and a strong record of published research in nuclear theory, broadly construed.
