The University of Washington’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a well-trained Obstetrics and Gynecology physician to assume a leadership position. This position will be full-time at the Associate Professor (WOT) without tenure due to funding or Professor (WOT) without tenure due to funding level on a 12-month service period (July 1 - June 30) with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2022.

The successful applicant will be expected to demonstrate professionalism and engage in education, leadership, mentorship and research consistent with the academic mission of the University of Washington. The successful candidate will be expected to provide high-quality, compassionate care to a diverse patient population and provide care at multiple sites, to take night and weekend call. Opportunities, as appropriate, include assuming the role of Vice Chair for Research and/or the University of Washington Women’s Reproductive Health NIH K12 position as Research Director. Qualifications

  • MD, DO degree or foreign equivalent
  • Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology or foreign equivalent
  • Demonstration of prior outstanding scholarly work in education or research within an academic setting
  • Demonstration of excellent clinical and surgical skills
  • Candidates must have demonstrated academic excellence in research, and possess excellent leadership skills.
  • Must have experience in mentorship and management.
  • Demonstration of excellent communication skills
