Position Description

The University of Washington (UW) Department of Medicine, Division of Medical Oncology is recruiting for a full-time clinical faculty member specializing in clinical care of patients with Hematology and Oncology disorders. The position would be at the Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor level with a Clinician Position in the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance Community Cancer Program. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month (July 1 - June 30 service period) annual appointment based at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA) - Overlake. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.

The position will focus primarily on high volume ambulatory clinical care of patients with solid organ cancers, encompassing a breadth of knowledge across sub-specialties within oncology. There is a secondary focus on inpatient consultations with on-call requirements. Participation in clinical research is encouraged with clinical trials support provided. The position may also involve participation in the clinical and instructional activities of the Division of Medical Oncology. Title, rank and salary is commensurate with experience.

Anticipated start date would be December 1, 2021

Qualifications

Requirements include MD (or foreign equivalent) and fellowship training in Medical Oncology and Hematology (or foreign equivalent).

In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
