Position Description

The University of Washington School of Medicine is seeking qualified candidates for Chair of the Department of Immunology. The position is full-time and tenured with appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor commensurate with experience. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2022.  This position annual service period of 12 months [July 1-June 30]. 

The Department of Immunology is an integral part of a vigorous research community and has outstanding research and training programs, including participation in undergraduate and graduate programs. The Department ranked 5th in the world by the National Taiwan University Global Rankings and 6th by US News and World Reports Global Rankings.  The position will demonstrate a commitment to building and sustaining an inclusive climate for all faculty, staff and students. All UW faculty engage in teaching, research, and service. 

Qualifications

Applicants must have a PhD (or foreign equivalent) in Immunology or a related biomedical discipline. An MD (or foreign equivalent) is also acceptable. Applicants must also have demonstrated academic leadership skills and an internationally recognized research program in Immunology.
