Bloodworks Northwest and the University of Washington Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology are recruiting a full-time faculty member for an appointment at the Associate or Full Professor rank (without tenure due to funding), commensurate with experience. This position would be based at Bloodworks Northwest in Seattle. The selected candidate would be expected to conduct an independent research program in hemostasis, coagulation, transfusion, or related fields that complements the activities of the University of Washington and Bloodworks investigators. Teaching activities for this position might include mentoring, lab instruction, lectures/conferences, and supervising. This position will have an annual service period of 12 months [July 1-June 30]. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service. Position will remain open until filled. Anticipated start date is October 1, 2021.
Qualifications
- Minimum requirements include an M.D. or Ph.D. (or foreign equivalent)
- For MD candidates, in order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. Board certification in Hematology (or foreign equivalent) would also be required for MD candidates.
