Position Description

The Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Washington is seeking a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor in Rehabilitation Neuropsychology to join the Division of Rehabilitation Psychology & Neuropsychology. 

Clinical duties will include outpatient and inpatient neuropsychological evaluations, delivery of rehabilitation psychology services (e.g., psychotherapy), assisting with the triage of neurorehabilitation patients, and consultation with members of multidisciplinary rehabilitation teams. Primary patient conditions/populations include traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, stroke, spinal cord injury, and brain tumors. Will supervise psychology predoctoral and postdoctoral trainees within our APA-accredited internship and fellowship programs, as well as lecture at the graduate/medical school level. Sites of practice for this position’s clinical duties will be split between the University of Washington Medical Center Montlake Campus (UWMC-Montlake) and Harborview Medical Center (HMC).  Opportunities for mentorship, career growth, and leadership are available, as well as the opportunity to assist in the development of new and expanding programs to address clinical demand. The individual hired for this position will work with marginalized and culturally diverse communities and with trainees holding a range of worldviews. 


This multi-year position has a 12-month service period (July 1 – June 30) and may begin as soon as July 1, 2021, subject to timely approvals and credentialing. 

Salary and academic appointment at the University of Washington will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and academic rank.

  • Applicants must have a PhD, PsyD, or equivalent degree from an APA-approved psychology graduate school program or foreign equivalent 

  • Completion of a postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology  

  • Must be licensed or license eligible in the State of Washington.
