The University of Washington, Division of Cardiology, Department of Medicine is recruiting two full-time (100% FTE) general cardiologists to be primarily based at the University of Washington Medical Center- Northwest (UWMC-Northwest) in the clinical track at the Clinical Assistant, Clinical Associate, or Clinical Professor level. The UWMC-Northwest campus is a UW hospital that offers comprehensive cardiovascular services. This is a 12-month, annual appointment. Successful candidates will have a strong commitment to patient care with interests in general, noninvasive cardiology. Candidates with subspecialty interests in heart failure, echo and nuclear imaging are encouraged to apply. Successful candidates will have a willingness to grow our highly regarded inpatient and outpatient practice. This position allows individuals to take advantage of the outstanding opportunities that exist for collaboration at the University of Washington, as well as opportunities to be involved in medical education. Anticipated start date is July 1, 2021.
Qualifications
Applicants must have an MD degree or foreign equivalent and be board certified/eligible in cardiovascular diseases, or foreign equivalent. In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-US) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
