Reconstructive Plastic Surgeon

UW Medicine – University of Washington Medical Center

The Division of Plastic Surgery in the Department of Surgery at the University of Washington School of Medicine is seeking two full-time Plastic Surgeons to join the present full-time faculty at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor, non-tenure track.  The positions will have an annual service period of 12 months (July 1 – June 30). The salary and rank is commensurate with applicant’s training, qualifications, and experience, with an expected start date in Spring 2020. The positions would include the broad spectrum of plastic surgery, including teaching residents and medical students, and will be based at the University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC) – Montlake Campus, with the option to practice at UWMC - Northwest Campus.  University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service.  

 

Qualifications

Prospective candidates must have MD (or foreign equivalent) and should be certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (or foreign equivalent). Training and experience with microsurgical oncologic reconstruction and including breast reconstruction is required.

In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
