Position Description

The Division of Cardiology, Department of Medicine at the University of Washington, School of Medicine is recruiting a full-time general cardiologist focused on cardiovascular disease prevention and interplay with diabetes and obesity. Outstanding opportunities exist for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams dedicated to the investigation and treatment of metabolic disease.

The successful applicant would be appointed to the full-time (100% FTE) faculty at the University of Washington at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level (without tenure due to funding), commensurate with qualifications. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care, scholarship and medical education. 

This position has an annual service period of 12 months (July 1 – June 30).  Anticipated start date is July 1, 2020.

Qualifications

Applicants must have an MD degree (or foreign equivalent) and be board certified in cardiovascular disease (or foreign equivalent).  In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-US) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
