Position Description

The University of Washington, Department of Pediatrics, Division of General Pediatrics, invites applications for a full time faculty position at the rank of an Assistant Professor (WOT), Associate Professor (WOT), or full Professor (WOT) on the clinician-educator track.  Rank is commensurate with experience and qualifications.  This is a 12-month service period.  Anticipated start date is Winter 2020. 

The successful applicant will have responsibilities that include clinical oversight, teaching, evaluation and feedback.  In addition to direct patient care, there will also be opportunities to participate in didactic education and clinical supervision of medical students, residents or fellows.  It is expected that a clinician-educator will have, or develop an area of scholarly activity that complements clinical work proposed. The position includes protected time for scholarly work.

All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service. 



The successful candidate must have an MD (or foreign equivalent), be fellowship trained in Pediatrics and/or Child Abuse Pediatrics, and be board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics and Child Abuse Pediatrics. 

In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
