Position Description

The University of Washington Department of Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine is seeking a full-time fellowship trained candidate for a faculty position for its sports medicine program. The practice will be located at Northwest Hospital and Medical Center. Opportunities exist for both clinical and basic research as well as medical student and resident education. The main focus of the position will be for the qualified candidate to develop a busy clinical program. Appointment will be made at the level of Assistant Professor, without tenure due to funding. The position has a 12-month service period with an anticipated start date in 2020. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service

Qualifications

Applicants must have an MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent), and completed a fellowship and board certified (or eligible) in orthopaedic surgery.  In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or foreign equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
