Position Description

The Division of Gastroenterology, Department of Medicine at the University of Washington is recruiting a full-time Clinical faculty member at the Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor level (without tenure by reason of funding) with expertise in the management of luminal Gastroenterology diseases and disorders. Applicants with specific interest in the management of patients with gastrointestinal motility or functional gastrointestinal disorders are preferred; however, all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply. This position will be evaluated on an annual service period of 12 months [July 1-June 30] with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2019. Duties include clinical management of patients with gastrointestinal disorders, general endoscopy, and teaching.

Qualifications

The candidate will have a recognized MD degree (or foreign equivalent), completed a ACGME accredited Gastroenterology Fellowship and ABIM certification and maintenance of certification in Gastroenterology (or foreign equivalent). In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
