Position Description

The University of Washington Foster School of Business has one full time lecturer position available in the Department of Accounting starting in Autumn 2019. This is an annual, non-tenured appointment and will be a full-time position (100% FTE) with a 9-month service period, which would typically involve teaching nine classes over three quarters of the academic year. Some summer quarter teaching may also be available. This position involves working well with others in a team-teaching environment, and providing high-quality instruction in undergraduate and graduate accounting classes teaching financial accounting, managerial accounting, FASB codification research, and internal controls. The primary responsibility for lecturers is teaching.  All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching and service.

Appointment level and salary will depend on qualifications. Position is contingent on budgetary approval.

Qualifications

A Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in accounting or a related field is required.
