The School of Nursing and Health Studies (SNHS) at the University of Washington Bothell invites applications for Associate or Full Visiting Professor with an anticipated start date of Sept. 2026. We seek applicants who demonstrate commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and service in a diverse and inclusive academic community. The successful candidate will join our faculty on a full-time 100% FTE basis for a nine-month academic, 1-year, renewable appointment beginning Sept 16, 2026.

The base salary range for this position will be $12,000 - $18,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the school’s academic, scholarly, and community-engaged mission, with particular emphasis on supporting the launch and expansion of the prelicensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program through activities that include:

·       Teaching five courses across the RN to BSN and Masters of Nursing programs 

·       Contributing to curriculum innovation and program development

·       Supporting the development and launch of the prelicensure BSN program

·       Participating in strategic conversations related to the future of nursing education

·       Contributing to scholarly dialogue through presentations, publications, or collaborative projects

Specific teaching assignments will determined based on the needs of the School. The exact scope of engagement will be developed collaboratively based on expertise and the strategic priorities of SNHS.

The School is housed in several buildings on a vibrant campus located on a restored 100-acre wetland with an active salmon stream, including the 74,000 square-foot Discovery Hall teaching and laboratory facility, with a new 77,000 square-foot STEM building in collaboration with Cascadia College.

Qualifications

Applicants for this instructional faculty position must meet the following minimum qualifications:

·       A doctoral degree in nursing

·       Ability to obtain nursing licensure in Washington State

·       Minimum of five years of leadership experience in academic, healthcare, community, or professional settings

·       Demonstrated record of scholarly, professional, or practice-based impact, including publications, external funding, policy influence, innovative educational models, or recognized professional leadership

·       Evidenced commitment to advancing health equity and sustaining community partnerships through prior initiatives, collaborations, or community-engaged work

·       Current Associate or Full Professor position at another four-year institution
