The Division of General Internal Medicine within the Department of Medicine at the University of Washington invites applications for a full time faculty position at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor. We seek applicants who demonstrate commitment to excellence in teaching and service in a diverse and inclusive academic community. The successful candidate will join our faculty on a twelve-month full-time basis for an annual term beginning September 1, 2026.
The base salary range for this position will be: $16,000 - $21,667 per month ($192,000 - $260,004 annually), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization.
The successful candidate will be expected to serve as an attending physician at the University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC) - Roosevelt General Internal Medicine Center (GIMC). They will also be expected to teach and precept residents and medical students, with optional inpatient attending of two to four weeks per year at UWMC-Montlake.
Candidates will be considered across a range of interests in primary care.

Only full-time positions (100% FTE) are eligible for H-1B sponsorship.
Qualifications
Applicants for this full-time clinical faculty position must meet the following minimum qualifications:
Applicants must have a medical (MD or DO) degree (or foreign equivalent) and board certification* in Internal Medicine (or foreign equivalent). Applicants must hold or be eligible for Washington State Medical License.
*Note: Board certification must be completed within two years after residency.
In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
