Position Description
The University of Washington, Division of Gastroenterology, Department of Medicine is recruiting a full-time (1.0 FTE) general gastroenterologist to be primarily based at the recently opened University of Washington Northwest Outpatient Medical Center (OMPC) in the clinical track at the Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor level. The UW-OMPC campus is a newly built outpatient UW center in suburban Seattle that offers comprehensive gastroenterology services in a state-of-the art facility.
This position will hold annual appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. These are clinical positions with a structure of one clinic day and three endoscopy days, and do not require substantial overnight or weekend on-call responsibilities. Successful candidates will have a strong commitment to patient care with interests in general gastroenterology. Anticipated start date will be July 2026.
The base salary range for this position will be $19,168 - $37,084 per month ($230,000-$445,000 annually), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Given these positions have a productivity component, compensation associated with this position will include an administrative salary supplement (ADS), monthly additional compensation (MAC), and incentive through UW Physicians practice plan.
This range is inclusive of base salary provided through UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization

Qualifications
Successful candidates will have a willingness to grow our highly regarded outpatient practice. This position allows individuals to take advantage of the outstanding opportunities that exist for collaboration at the University of Washington. Applicants must have an MD degree or foreign equivalent and be board certified/eligible in cardiovascular diseases, or foreign equivalent. In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-US) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
