Description
The University of Washington School of Dentistry invites applications for a tenured or tenure-track position at the Associate Professor rank in the Department of Oral Medicine. The position is full-time, with a 12-month service period. All University of Washington faculty are expected to engage in teaching, research/scholarship and service.
They are expected to contribute to a welcoming and inclusive environment in research, teaching, mentoring, and/or service, with particular emphasis on supporting the success of students from all backgrounds.
Compensation
The base salary range for this position will be $15,619 - $18,222 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
Other compensation associated with this position may include: an administrative supplement; moving expenses; relocation incentive pay; and faculty practice activity. Location/Start Date: This position is on-site at the UW Seattle campus, and Fred Hutch Cancer Center in South Lake Union, Seattle. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2026.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must have completed a DDS/DMD program from a CODA-accredited dental school (or equivalent), and candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Oral Medicine. The candidate will possess a record of substantial success in didactic and clinical teaching at the predoctoral and graduate levels as well as scholarly activities, patient care in oral medicine, with a focus on oral oncology and supportive services in cancer care, and engagement in service activities.
The successful candidate will be expected to have a strong record of oral medicine clinical experience, research and scholarly activity, prior administrative leadership experience, teaching at the predoctoral and/or graduate level and demonstrated leadership/service in professional organizations at the regional or national level.
