The University of Washington (UW), Department of Dermatology is currently recruiting for up to 2 positions at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank, on the clinician-scholar pathway (without tenure due to funding). Full/part-time status is negotiable. The UW Department of Dermatology includes 37 paid faculty members across 6 different clinical sites (Roosevelt, Harborview, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, South Lake Union, Eastside Specialty Center, VA Puget Sound) and over 30 staff members. Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor (WOT) hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. The anticipated start date is August 1, 2025.
The successful applicant will have clinical responsibilities including the outpatient dermatology clinic and/or inpatient attending service, engage in collaborative research projects, and participate in teaching and mentoring students, residents, and fellows. Positive factors for consideration include, but are not limited to, candidates who have an established record of clinical care, teaching, and research in the area of Dermatology.
Salary: The base salary range for this position will be: $28,650 - $39,658 per month ($343,800- $475,896 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
Qualifications
Requirements include an MD (or foreign equivalent) and Board Eligibility or Certification in Dermatology (or foreign equivalent).
In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
