Division faculty are actively involved in undergraduate and graduate medical education, with ACGME-accredited programs in geriatric medicine and palliative medicine.
The Division is actively involved in research, with over $12 million in extramural research funding annually, spanning basic discovery to clinical trials, epidemiology, and implementation science. Research centers include the Northwest Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Center, a VA Geriatric Research, Education and Clinical Center, and the Clinical Trials Unit.
