Join the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine at the University of Washington. We are recruiting a Physician Assistant (PA-C) to partner with our orthopaedic surgeons on the orthopaedic oncology and total joint service at the University of Washington Medical Center – the Montlake and Northwest Hospital campuses as well as the Eastside Specialties Center. Our PA’s are responsible for providing comprehensive orthopaedic care to patients in an inpatient, outpatient and operative setting and helping to manage a busy and dynamic service. The position is on an annual appointment with a 12-month service period (July 1 - June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. This position has a flexible start date in the winter or spring or 2025.


The base salary range for this position will be: $10,000 - $12,084 per month ($120,000-145,008 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations.

Qualifications

1. Current Washington State Physician Assistant License, or ability to obtain one prior to employment.

2. Graduate Degree from an accredited PA program. Nationally certified PA-C with DEA.

3. Proven excellence working in an interdisciplinary collaborative team environment in school or in practice.

4. Effective interpersonal skills, leadership skills, and clinical expertise in the care of orthopaedic patients.

5. Surgical experience.

Desired
Experience in orthopaedic care preferred but we can train motivated and talented individuals.
