Position Description

Applications are invited for one or more non-tenure track Acting Assistant Professor positions. This is a full-time position with a 9-month service period (September 16 - June 15) and an anticipated start date of September 16, 2025. The position is reviewed annually for reappointment. With satisfactory performance in each year, we expect the successful applicant to be appointed for a total of three academic years.

Washington State Law requires that this ad list a binding salary range. The base salary range for this position will be $7,700 - $9,000 per month on a 9-month basis ($69,300 - $81,000 annually), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.

Qualifications

Applicants are required to have a PhD, or foreign equivalent, in Mathematics or a related field by the starting date. Applicants must be highly qualified for teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels and be pursuing an independent research program in mathematics.
