Position Description
The University of Washington, Department of Radiology, has an opening for a postdoctoral scholar position in cancer imaging. The prospective postdoc will work with a multi-disciplinary group of experts including radiologists, oncologist, data scientists, image analysts, and other school of medicine faculty members at the University of Washington and its affiliated hospitals. Research projects will primarily focus on translational and clinical research projects involving machine learning and data science applications, integrated image processing methods, computational, workflow optimizations, image segmentation, and incorporation of cancer biomarkers for multimodal predictions. Postdoctoral Scholar appointments are initially for 12-months with opportunities to renew. This appointment may not exceed 5 years, including postdoctoral experience(s) at other institutions.
The base salary range for this position will be $5,705 to $6,178 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by the U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
This is a full-time Postdoctoral Scholar position on an annual, 12-month appointment. Postdoctoral scholars are represented by UAW 4121 and are subject to the collective bargaining agreement, unless agreed exclusion criteria apply. Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Completed MD or PhD in a medical imaging related field, date, or computer sciences.
- High motivation and a strong interest in medical imaging and oncology research.
- Experience with clinical research, database management, image processing, and/or maching learning experience will be highly valued.
