Applications are invited for up to one Lecturer Part-Time - Temporary position in the Department of Geography at the University of Washington.

This appointment is for a part-time temporary position in Autumn quarter. This is a non-tenure eligible position.  The anticipated start date is September 16, 2024 and the end date is December 15, 2024.

The primary duties of a Lecturer Part-Time Temporary are to be the instructor of record for GEOG 272, Geographies of Environmental Justice.  This class is scheduled as an in-person course on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:30-4:20pm.  This position will supervise a Teaching Assistant who will lead additional quiz sections and aid in grading.  

The base salary for this position will have a full-time monthly range of $6,000 - $9,500 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. 

Qualifications

We seek candidates with experience and demonstrated excellence in teaching a wide range of Geography courses. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree, or foreign equivalent, in geography or a related field by the start of the appointment.
