Position Description
The School of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences (IAS) at the University of Washington Bothell (UW Bothell) seeks dynamic educators for openings as they occur in our programs. Successful candidates must have a demonstrated commitment to innovative and effective pedagogy; ability to address questions of diversity, equity and inclusion in courses; and expertise in working with diverse student populations. IAS houses eighteen undergraduate and graduate programs, is located in the Seattle metropolitan area, and provides faculty members with access to the research resources of the entire UW system. The base salary range for this position will be $6353-$ 6,500 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
Qualifications
Minimum requirements for the position include:
• Ph.D., MFA, or equivalent professional experience required by time of appointment.
• Demonstrated commitment to innovative and effective pedagogy
• Demonstrated ability to teach courses in area of specialization in the context of an interdisciplinary curriculum
• Demonstrated ability to address questions of diversity, equity and inclusion in courses and scholarship
• Expertise in working with diverse student populations
