Psychosocial Oncology Psychologist, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center
The University of Washington (UW) Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences (PBSCI) and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Fred Hutch) seek a psychologist for a full-time faculty position in the Psychosocial Oncology Program. The psychologist will conduct psychological evaluations and provide evidence-based psychotherapy services to adult patients through a mix of in-person and telehealth care. The psychologist will also serve as a consultant to other team members. The position also has opportunities for teaching and collaborative research. At Fred Hutch, the psychologist will provide care to patients with cancer. The primary focus of treatment will be on the psychosocial issues that arise in the context of cancer as a chronic or life-threatening illness. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research/scholarship, and service.

Positions are at Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor rank.
Clinical faculty hold annual appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. Positions are available effective December 1, 2024; specific start date is negotiable.

Salary
The base salary range for this position will be commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
The base salary range for a Clinical Assistant Professor position will be $8,500 - $10,417 per month ($102,000 - $125,004 annually).
The base salary range for a Clinical Associate Professor position will be $10,500 - $12,500 per month ($126,000 - $160,008 annually).
The base salary range for a Clinical Professor position will be $12,500 - $20,000 per month ($150,000 - $240,000 annually).
Additional compensation associated with this position may include temporary salary supplement (TPS), administrative salary supplement (ADS) and/or incentive payments through the UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan.
Positive factors for consideration include, but are not limited to:
- A doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited graduate program
- A pre-doctoral internship or post-doctoral fellowship in Health Psychology or Rehabilitation Psychology
Qualifications
A doctoral degree or foreign equivalent in a relevant field and eligibility for a Washington State license in Psychology.
APA approved internship or if internship is not APA eligible, then must meet the requirements listed in WAC 246-924-056.
