UW Medicine Primary Care, in conjunction with the Department of Family Medicine, is seeking a Primary Care Physician/Clinical Instructor for Virtual Primary Care.


UW Medicine Primary Care is hiring a physician for Virtual Primary Care to work in conjunction with our primary care clinics.  Service is primary care in scope with a focus on facilitating care within the UW Medicine system via synchronous and asynchronous care. 

Candidates must be Board Certified.  Successful candidate will be appointed as a Clinical Instructor through the UW School of Medicine. 

The ideal candidate will:

·         Have strong experience in Primary Care and Telehealth.

·         Be driven to provide outstanding, appropriate patient care via telemedicine.

·         Be comfortable working independently, handling all parts of patient visits.

·         Be technologically confident to handle basic tech needs independently.

·         Be an adaptable problem solver.

Clinical Instructors hold annual appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms.  Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.  In addition to providing primary care, this role will include some clinical teaching responsibilities.

Base salary for this position will be $17,536 per month ($210,432 per annum) as mandated by a U.S Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determination and calculations. Compensation provided by UW Physicians (UWP) provides eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization.

Other compensation associated with this position includes a minimum guaranteed incentive for the first 2 years of $13,000 per quarter ($52,000 per annum) through UW Physicians. The incentive is based on both production and quality metrics, with guaranteed incentive pay being based on achieving up to the 45th percentile of production during the period of record; should the provider exceed this level of production, they will receive the higher productivity earned incentive instead.

Qualifications

Candidates must have earned an MD/DO, completed residency, and should be board certified/board eligible.  Candidates will need to possess or obtain a valid Washington State medical license and DEA cert as well as BLS certification.
