Position Description

The University of Washington (UW) Department of Medicine, Division of Medical Oncology is recruiting for a full-time (1.0 FTE) faculty member on the Full-time clinical faculty track specializing primarily in the care of patients with lymphoma. The position would be at the Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor level based at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center – University of Washington Medical Center-M and faculty rank will be commensurate based on qualifications. This position will hold an annual appointment that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.

The base salary range for this position will be $14,500 to $16,667 monthly commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Other compensation associated with this position may include incentive through UW Physicians practice plan.

This range is inclusive of base salary provided through UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization.

The position will focus primarily on the clinical care of patients with lymphoma, joining a well-established and high-volume lymphoma service with a robust clinical research portfolio. The ideal candidate will actively engage in the group’s research and teaching priorities, while facilitating delivery of exceptional clinical care to cancer patients at a world-renowned comprehensive cancer center.

Qualifications

Requirements include MD or DO (or foreign equivalent) and fellowship training in Medical Oncology and Hematology (or foreign equivalent). In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.
