Position Description

The University of Washington’s (UW) Department of Medicine, Division of Nephrology is seeking applicants for a full-time (1.0 FTE) position. This position would be at the rank of Research Associate Professor. Research Associate Professors are not tenure-eligible. Research Associate Professors are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. The anticipated start date would be September 1, 2023.

University of Washington faculty engage in research, teaching, and service.

The base salary range for this position will be: $10,000 to $12,000 per month ($120,000 - $144,000 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.

Qualifications

  • The successful applicant should have a demonstrated record in basic laboratory and/or translational research directed towards advancing the understanding of kidney health and diseases.
  •  Successful candidates will have a demonstrated record of independent scholarship within nephrology.    
  • Applicants must have a PhD (or foreign equivalent)
