The Department of Marketing and International Business invites applications for one full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor for the 2023-2024 academic year, with an anticipated start date of September 16, 2023.  Assistant Professors have an annual service period of nine months. University of Washington faculty members engage in research, teaching, and service.

The successful candidates will perform research in marketing analytics which may include data-driven marketing, economics, statistics, and machine learning. Teaching responsibilities will focus on marketing analytics courses in masters and undergraduate programs.

The base salary range for these positions will be between $23,000 and $34,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.  Other compensation associated with this position may include a moving allowance, summer research funding, endowments (tenured) and administrative supplements.

Candidates must have or be nearing completion of a PhD or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, or other related fields.  A qualified candidate may be considered for temporary appointment as an Acting Assistant Professor, pending PhD, with conversion to appointment Assistant Professor after degree conferral if the terminal degree has not been conferred by the position start date.
