Position Description

The University of Washington’s School of Medicine, Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology, and UW Heart Institute are seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE), experienced cardiologist to join our Interventional Cardiology Service at the University of Washington Medical Center. The successful applicant would be appointed to the full-time (100% FTE) faculty at the University of Washington at the rank of Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor. This position is non-tenure eligible and will hold an annual appointment that aligns with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. We would expect this individual to take on leadership responsibilities within the program. The individual would use their strong interpersonal skills to build referral relationships throughout King, Pierce and Snohomish counties. This individual will be expected to have teaching duties that include attending on clinical service and mentoring residents and fellows. 

Anticipated start date is June 1, 2023 or thereafter.

The base salary range for this position will be $16,250-$33,333 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Other compensation associated with this position may include an administrative salary supplement (ADS) and incentive through UW Physicians practice plan.

Qualifications

Applicants should have an MD degree, or foreign equivalent and be board certified/eligible in cardiovascular diseases, or foreign equivalent. In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-US) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
