Position Description
The University of Washington (UW) Department of Medicine, Division of Medical Oncology is recruiting for a full-time (1.0 FTE) faculty member specializing in clinical care of patients with Benign Hematology disorders based in Issaquah, Washington. The position would be at the Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor level with a Clinician Position in the Fred Hutch Cancer Center Cancer (FHCC) Program. This position will hold an annual appointment that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. The position will focus primarily on high volume benign and malignant hematology. There is a secondary focus on inpatient consultations with on-call requirements at the adjacent FHCC Overlake campus. There may be the opportunity to participate in an active clinical trial program including NCTN and pharmaceutical-sponsored trials at the nascent site. The position may also involve participation in the clinical and instructional activities of the Division of Medical Oncology. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.
The base salary range for this position will be $15,000-$16,667 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Other compensation associated with this position may include incentive through UW Physicians practice plan.
This range is inclusive of base salary provided through UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization.

Qualifications
Requirements include MD (or foreign equivalent) and fellowship training in Medical Oncology and Hematology (or foreign equivalent). In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
