The Department of Bioengineering at the University of Washington invites applications for a full time, tenure-track assistant professor position with an anticipated start date of September 2023. Assistant professors (tenure-track) are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. .

The base salary range for this position will be $8,334 to $13,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.

UW Bioengineering is jointly administered by the School of Medicine and the College of Engineering. The minimum qualifications are a PhD degree in a relevant field (or foreign equivalent) at the time of hire and a record of published research in Biomedical Engineering. An MD (or foreign equivalent) and record of published research in Biomedical Engineering are also acceptable.
