The University of Washington, Division of Cardiology, Department of Medicine is recruiting one (1) full-time general cardiologist.  The position is in the full-time clinical track at the Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor level. Salary and academic appointment at University of Washington will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and academic rank. This position will hold annual appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. The position will include caring for patients in the outpatient setting at the Eastside Clinic and inpatient general cardiology teaching service and inpatient consult service at the University of Washington Medical Center-Montlake and/or Harborview Medical Center.  Imaging opportunities will be based upon the successful candidates training and expertise, and could include echocardiography at Eastside Clinic and nuclear cardiology and the University of Washington Medical Center-Montlake. Teaching fellows and residents will primarily occur during inpatient rotations, and may also occur in clinic or with interpretation of imaging.  Additional didactic opportunities will be available.  There are opportunities for those with  subspecialty interests such as cardiogenetics, cardio-oncology, sports cardiology, women’s heart health and/or hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Anticipated start date will be June 1, 2023.

The base salary range for this position will be $16,250-$33,333 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Other compensation associated with this position may include an administrative salary supplement (ADS) and incentive through UW Physicians practice plan.

Applicants must have an MD degree (or foreign equivalent) and be board certified/eligible in cardiovascular diseases (or foreign equivalent). Successful candidates will have a strong commitment to patient care and education. In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-US) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
