The Michael G. Foster School of Business at the University of Washington consistently ranks among the top business schools in the United States—for both undergraduate and graduate degrees. The Accounting Department at the Michael G. Foster School of Business, University of Washington, is recruiting to hire one or more full-time tenure eligible Assistant, Associate, or Full Professors for the 2023-2024 academic year, with an anticipated start date of September 16, 2023.  The annual service period is nine months. The position is open to all teaching and research areas within accounting.  University of Washington faculty members engage in research, teaching, and service. Duties include conducting high-quality scholarly research in accounting or a related field, and effectively teaching courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate level. The base salary range for this position will be $25,000 - $34,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Other compensation associated with this position may include a moving allowance, summer research funding, endowments (tenured) and administrative supplements.  A summary of benefits associated with this title/rank can be found at https://hr.uw.edu/benefits/benefits-orientation/benefit-summary-pdfs/. Qualifications

Candidates must have, or be nearing completion of, a Ph.D. or foreign equivalent in accounting or related field. A qualified candidate may be considered for temporary appointment as an Acting Assistant Professor, pending PhD with conversion to appointment as an Assistant Professor after degree conferral if the terminal degree has not been conferred by the position start date.
