The Department of Psychology at the University of Washington invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor in Adult Clinical Psychology whose work focuses on topics related to mechanisms underlying racial/ethnic mental health disparities, the mental health impact of racism/prejudice/discrimination, and prevention/intervention and/or resilience-strengthening efforts aimed at mitigating mental health disparities affecting under-represented minorities, people of color, and otherwise minoritized adults (early to late adulthood) and communities. This position will be expected to utilize multiple and/or innovative and appropriate methodologies targeting multiple units/levels of analysis for studying mental health factors related to underrepresented minority adults and communities are encouraged to apply. Applicants will be expected to provide high quality teaching and mentoring at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, including clinical training/supervision of doctoral students. The department seeks to expand its commitment to promoting candidates who have a strong commitment to promoting the success of students from groups underrepresented in academia. This position has an anticipated start date of September 16, 2022. Tenure-track or tenured faculty have an annual service period of nine months (Sept 16-June 15). This position will be expected to provide high quality teaching and mentoring at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and demonstrate a strong commitment to promoting the success of students from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups in academia.  All faculty at the University of Washington engage in teaching, research, and service.  We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive departmental climate. Qualifications

The successful candidate is expected to have, or the ability to develop, a record of high-quality publications and a funded research program(s). Applicants should have the Ph.D. degree, or foreign equivalent, in Psychology or another relevant field by the start of the appointment.
