Announcements
OAP 2021 Academic Personnel Reports Now Available
Each year OAP publishes reports on select academic personnel populations. The 2021 reports are now available on the Academic Personnel Reports page. Units with additional academic personnel data needs can submit request via acaddata@uw.edu.

Seeking Nominations for New OAP Achievement Award
Members of the UW community - including campus partners - are invited to submit nominations for a newly-established award recognizing an OAP team member for exceptional achievement in a core organizational value(s). If you’d like to acknowledge and help us celebrate one of our OAP colleagues, please complete a nomination form by May 16, 2022. Thanks in advance for participating!

Updates
Revised Employer Sexual Misconduct Reference Disclosure Instructions
Employer Sexual Misconduct Reference Disclosure forms are now updated to clarify that employer responses be returned to the initial requestor. This update should help avoid delays to the hiring process caused by forms erroneously returned to the wrong office. Campus partners can access the current disclosure form from the Sexual Misconduct Reference Checks page.

Reminders
Reviewing and Submitting USCIS Filing Fee Checks
To ensure that USCIS filing fee checks are assigned to the correct visa requests and to move requests forward, units must ensure that the requested checks:
  • Include the scholar’s name and/or the RT ticket/visa request number
  • Are addressed to the specific advisor assigned to the visa request and sent to the International Scholars Office’s (ISO) campus mailbox at 351245 (NOT directly to USCIS)
For more information, see the Visa Fees page.

COVID-19 Waivers Available for Clock-managed faculty and librarians
Now is a great time to remind faculty whose mandatory promotion and/or tenure review is scheduled for 2022-23 that they have until June 30, 2022 to request COVID-19 clock waiver(s). For more details including eligibility requirements, visit and share the Promotion and Tenure Clock Changes page.

CONDUCT VACCINE VERIFICATION BEFORE MOVING UNPAID ACADEMICS INTO PAID STATUS
When an unpaid academic—who did not previously meet the definition of on-site volunteer or on-site contractor—moves into paid status, they become subject to the COVID-19 vaccine verification mandate and must provide proof of vaccination or request and be approved for an exemption. Academic Partners should complete the vaccine verification process before the unit initiates the Change Job business process to move the individual into paid status.

Shout Out Section
Serving UW academic personnel well means having great campus partnerships! We'd like to use this section to recognize the great work of our campus partners.
Model Recruitment Advertisements
Kudos to the School of Medicine, and especially the Department of Radiology, for routinely drafting Interfolio recruitment ads that follow all requirements and rarely need revisions after AHR or ISO review!

From Our partners
This section is a chance to promote resources, questions and more from our partners around the campus. Email acadcomm@uw.edu if you have anything to add.
Title IX Report Available to the UW Community
The UW has released its first Title IX Annual Report. To foster transparency and provide opportunities for engagement around the topics of sex- and gender-based violence and harassment, community conversations are scheduled for May 11 and May 19.
