Faculty and Academic Staff Notification
OAP anticipates completing the reviews of unit merit-based salary increase recommendations and notifying units of approvals by September 2. After receiving notification from OAP, units are required to inform each academic personnel employee of their approved salary increase.
Data Validation
Between September 13-15, units will need to run the Merit Adjustment Validation report (R0537) to confirm that the approved salary adjustments were loaded correctly into Workday. Rehiring Meritorious Annual or Shorter-Term Faculty
A reminder that meritorious faculty who were in paid status at any point during the 2020-21 academic year, but who were not reappointed for the upcoming autumn quarter, must receive the equivalent of a merit increase if they are rehired at any point during the 2021-22 academic year. Upon rehire, the increase should be factored into the faculty member’s new base salary and the offer letter should note that the salary includes the equivalent of a 2% merit increase.
