Position Details

The University of Washington Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is seeking a part-time psychiatrist to serve in the Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES) and a full time attending for the inpatient psychiatry teaching service at Harborview Medical Center (HMC), King County’s safety net hospital with a Level 1 trauma center, operated by the University of Washington dedicated to the care of persons with mental illness in a state-of-the-art facility near downtown Seattle, WA.

Each faculty appointment will be at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor, or Clinical Associate Professor.   All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service.  This is a 12 month position, of indefinite duration.  The minimum degree requirement is the MD or equivalent.

Candidates must have completed residency training in psychiatry.  In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S,) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
